Second Visit - Symptom Control: Oral Medication - No oral medication

Acetaminophen
NSAID
Oral steroids
Muscle relaxants (or benzodiazepines)
Prescription (opioid) analgesics
Colchicine
Antidepressants
No oral medication

May be an option for Glen.

However, comfort is commonly a patient's first concern. Over-the-counter analgesics such as acetaminophen, ASA and ibuprofen, commonly provide sufficient pain relief for patients with activity intolerance due to acute LBP. With severe sciatica short term opioid analgesics may be indicated.
