Case: Glen
Patient Education: Reassurance that there is a good chance that he will be fine in four to six weeks.
Activity Modification: Short term (2-4 days) bed rest as required. Aerobic exercises using an appropriate quota system adjusted for tolerance. Work modification, gradual return to normal activities, direction in proper lifting techniques.
Medication: Acetaminophen: 1,000 mg., four times a day
Return visit: Glen to return in about two weeks; sooner, if he wishes.
