May or may not be appropriate for Glen. Some instruction in appropriate exercises and work modification may be required. However, the literature shows no evidence that benefits of physical agents such as ice, heat, massage, ultrasound, cutaneous laser treatment and electrical stimulation out-weigh costs sufficiently to justify their use other than to teach patients about heat or cold options at home.
