Third Visit - Symptom Control: Oral Medication - Muscle relaxants (or benzodiazepines)

Acetaminophen
NSAID
Oral steroids
Muscle relaxants (or benzodiazepines)
Prescription (opioid) analgesics
Colchicine
Antidepressants
No oral medication

Not an appropriate management option.

Muscle relaxants do not appear to be more effective than NSAID's in the treatment of acute LBP. There is no additional benefit of combining these medications with NSAID's. and they can cause drowsiness in up to 30% of patients.
