Plain x-ray Electrophysiologic tests (EMG/SEP) Lumbar CT-scan MRI Bone scan Thermography Myelography Discography No investigations |
Appropriate for Eva May (LBP < 1 month, Red Flags = age > 50). Her LBP is likely idiopathic. X-rays and spinal imaging tests are not recommended for the routine evaluation of patients unless a Red Flag indicating a serious problem is present.
