Appropriate for Eva -May.

Aerobic (endurance) exercise programs which minimally stress the back, can be recommended in the first two weeks for most patients. Patients improve faster when given specific quotas of exercises (gradually increased over time) rather than being told to stop exercise when it produces pain.

Back-specific exercise machines, as well as stretching, are not considered effective in the treatment of patients with acute LBP.
