Plain x-ray Electrophysiologic tests (EMG/SEP) Lumbar CT-scan MRI Bone scan Thermography Myelography Discography No investigations |
Not appropriate for Eva-May (LBP < 1 month, Red Flag = Age >50). Plain x-rays are not recommended for the routine evaluation of patients with acute LBP unless a Red Flag is present which may indicate tumour, infection, fracture or other serious problems.
